Here’s an innovative idea that you can use to get some extra bounce from your subscription to the Dingbat/Coffee Break humor newsletter. Since your subscription provides two different nameplates, why not choose your favorite to use for your printing firm and then consider “selling” the other version to one of your customers to use as a sales and marketing tool for their business?

Even though there are some restrictions that apply (see below), this is a terrific opportunity for you to enhance the good relationship you have with one of your current customers … or use it to create a new customer!

Here’s how Dingbat/Coffee Break could be a double win for your printing firm. First, you choose whichever nameplate you like best and use that version to mail to your customers. Then, you can present the opportunity of using the other nameplate to one of your existing customers or to a prospect. You could charge a small, monthly fee for the rights to use the newsletter, and you would receive the revenue from printing the newsletter each month. If you provide mailing services, it could result in an even greater sales revenue to you.

Restrictions: If you use this innovative idea, you must make it very clear to your customer that they can only mail their newsletter to the ZIP codes your printing firm has reserved. Extra ZIP codes are available, but please remember that we do not allow ZIP codes to be licensed for anything other than “local” mailings. In other words, neither you nor your customer can buy ZIP codes in Tampa, Orlando, or Jacksonville if your printing firm is located in Miami. You may only buy them for the Miami area. This is a terrific opportunity, but we have always been very cautious to make sure that exclusive ZIP codes belonging to another printing firm are not violated.
